Vehicles in Germany's Town Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Police stated they were contacted by a man who discovered a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Roughly 50 vehicles have been covered with what appears to be human blood in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were marked, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Police report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a resident noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored liquid.

The liquid had been applied in the form of a swastika, they reported.

Police then discovered multiple other marked vehicles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

These symbols are banned in Germany under legislation outlawing the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials report initial examinations show the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no indication as to its origin; authorities are currently not aware of any harm in relation with the occurrence," they added.

City officials announced they were trying "to resolve the mystery" and have asked to the public for details.

An important political figure stated the attack left him speechless and needed to be addressed quickly.

"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the pain of the extremist terrorist attack half a decade ago," he wrote on online, recalling the death of nine victims by a gunman targeting individuals of foreign heritage in 2020.
