I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
